(Sports Network) - The Edmonton Oilers have collected points in three straight games (2-0-1) since a 6-0 loss in Nashville last Friday. They look to get revenge for that loss on Sunday as they play host to the Predators in Edmonton. Devan Dubnyk was pulled last Friday after allowing two goals on 13 shots in the first period for the Oilers, who have lost nine of their past 12 at home to the Predators. That setback in Nashville was part of Edmontons franchise-record nine-game road trip that produced a 3-4-2 mark. The Oilers wrapped the swing with two straight wins after losing to the Predators, but their first home game since Feb. 23 on Friday resulted in a 3-2 overtime loss to the Detroit Red Wings. Taylor Hall and Sam Gagner scored the games first two goals before the Red Wings mounted a comeback. They also got some luck in tying the game after Edmonton defenseman Jeff Petry put a clearing attempt into his own net with 5:53 left in regulation while shorthanded. "It was coming back from the net and my first reaction was to put my stick on the ice", said Petry. "As I was putting it down it had forward momentum and that was that." Hall also had an assist and Dubnyk gave up three goals on 28 shots faced. Edmonton will play the second of four straight at home on Sunday night.Rinne looks to lead the Preds to just their third victory in nine games on Sunday night in a road matchup with the Oilers. Nashville goaltender Pekka Rinne is 8-4-1 with a 2.88 GAA in 16 career games (15 starts) versus the Oilers and shut them out for the first time with 24 saves last Friday. Colin Wilson had two goals and a pair of assists in the win, but Nashvilles leading scorer is currently on injured reserve due to an upper body ailment. The 30-year-old Rinne leads the NHL with five shutouts and is 10-8-5 in 26 games this season with a solid 2.20 goals against average and .916 save percentage. Two of his shutouts have come in his past five appearances, including a 6-0 win over visiting Edmonton on March 8, but he has also been pulled early in four of his last eight games. Rinne hasnt finished Nashvilles past two games, getting lifted in the second period of Thursdays 7-4 loss to Vancouver after yielding four goals on 12 shots faced. He did not fare any better the following night in Calgary, giving up a goal on both shots he faced while getting taken out after eight minutes of work. "I pulled Pekka right off the bat," Nashville coach Barry Trotz told NHL.com. "It wasnt his fault. It was just they recovered the breakdowns. Were in the situation where guys are standing alone in front of our net. Im not going to ask our goaltenders to make those kind of saves." Chris Mason stopped 16 of the 19 shots he faced in relief. David Legwand, Mike Fisher and Gabriel Bourque scored for the Predators, who have dropped six of their last eight games, including the last two after beginning a five-game road trip with a win in Dallas on Tuesday. www.cardinalsjerseyauthentic.com/Levi-Brown-Jersey-Black-Friday . That victory could prove moot if they cant find a way to beat the Montreal Canadiens tonight. With the teams facing off for the fourth and final time this season, the Hurricanes will try to record their fifth victory in six games -- and first this season versus the Habs -- when they host the Canadiens this evening at the RBC Center. www.cardinalsjerseyauthentic.com/Pat-Tillman-Jersey-Black-Friday . Jets point leader Blake Wheeler is not on the road trip and will not join the team for Tuesdays game in New Jersey. http://www.cardinalsjerseyauthentic.com/Iphone-Case . Later, Zambia sealed a doubleheader of unexpected results at Bata Stadium in a 2-1 win against highly fancied Senegal. Javier-Angel Balboa slotted Equatorial Guineas decisive strike into a top corner of Libyas goal in the 87th minute to send the home crowd into raptures. www.cardinalsjerseyauthentic.com/Kevin-Minter-Jersey-Black-Friday . -- The New England Patriots have re-signed Deion Branch for their battered corps of wide receivers. www.cardinalsjerseyauthentic.com/Jeff-King-Jersey-Black-Friday . His voice cracked as he talked about having dreamed of this day. "I think we all do as boys -- that I would one day play in the NBA," said Meruelo, a California developer and pizza chain owner.BOSTON -- Michael Bradley and Alessandro Florenzi scored second-half goals, lifting Italys Roma to a 2-1 victory over Liverpool in an exhibition game at Fenway Park on Wednesday night. Bradley sent a right-footed kick by keeper Brad Jones that caromed into the goal off the left post in the 63rd minute, drawing chants of "USA! USA!" from the crowd of 37,169. Hes the son of former U.S. coach Bob Bradley. Florenzi scored off a rebound from directly in front in the 69th minute -- two minutes after entering the game. Charlie Adam scored in the 80th minute for Liverpool. "We did some good things," Roma coach Zdenek Zeman said through a translator. "We were well-placed, but we still lack 90 minutes." Liverpool was without captain Steven Gerrard because rules require rest following international tournaments. Luis Saurez (Uruguay) is scheduled to play at the London Olympics and also isnt on the North American tour for Liverpool. The match was played in the home of the Boston Red Sox, owned by Fenway Sports Group -- also the owner of Liverpool. There was a sea of red in the recently turned 100-year old ballpark, but it wasnt red for the Red Sox. For one night, Fenway was transformed into the home of Liverpools fans. The usual Red Sox jerseys worn by fans with the names and numbers on the backs reading: "Ortiz 34" and "Pedroia 15" were missing and a number of "Gerrard 8" and "Saurez 7" jerseys filled the park. "It was incredible. I told them before, Youll be able to tell your grandkids you played football at Fenway Park," Liverpool coach Brendan Rodgers said. The match was dubbed "Football at Fenway 2012" and it had the flavour of one at Anfield. The media meal also was accordingly "fish and chips" -- an English staple. As fans entered the turnstiles at either end of Yawkey Way, a street along the third-base line, they could walk through gates with a sign above that read: "Youll Never Walk Alone," which is a reference to the clubs anthem. About 2 1/2 hours before the start, there were hundreds of red jerseys in the bars and restaurants in the area.dddddddddddd They lined up outside the gates about an hour before they opened and carried blankets, scarfs and a few were wearing red wool hats on a bright sunny afternoon with temperatures in the low 80s. Hanging in the centre of the infamous Green Monster was a red and white sign that read: "LFC Tour 2012." It was the second of a three-game tour for Liverpool, which will face English rival Tottenham on Saturday in Baltimore at the home of the NFLs Ravens. Liverpool earned a 1-1 draw with Toronto FC on Saturday at the Rogers Centre. "I was very pleased, a lot of young players gained experience," Rodgers said. "Roma, tonight, had more experienced players." John Henry, the controlling partner of Fenway Sports Group, came out of the first-base -- or home -- dugout about an hour before the start, walked along the outside of the pitch and a few fans immediately recognized him and applauded. He stopped to shake hands as he walked along the right-field warning track toward the foul pole -- nicknamed the "Pesky Pole." He watched the match from his private box behind home plate. In the first half, Liverpools best chance came when Jon Jo Shelveys left-footed kick from just inside the box was stopped by keeper Bogdan Lobont in the 41st minute. Liverpool also had a good chance in the 33rd minute when midfielder Joe Cole lofted one that landed on the top of the net, just over the crossbar. Romas Pablo Daniel Osvaldo had an excellent bid in the eighth minute, but goalkeeper Peter Gulacsi made a sliding right arm stop. NOTES: Liverpool also played without Andy Carroll and Glen Johnson due to the rest rule. ... Liverpool fans draped about 10 signs over the walls behind the right-field bullpens. ... Gulacsi was looking into a bright sun for about the initial eight minutes, with the back of his goal near the edge of the right-field track. ... Jones substituted for Gulacsi at the start of the second half. cheap jerseys ' ' '
