KHARTOUM， April 18 (Xinhua) -- A tripartite team of Sudan， the UN and the
African Union (AU) on Monday agreed on a smooth and gradual exit of the UN-AU
Mission in Darfur (UNAMID) from the region.
"It has been agreed that another meeting would be held besides field visits
by the team to Darfur States on the 8th of next May. It has also been agreed
that UNAMID's exit should be gradual and smooth，" Ali Al-Sadiq， Sudan foreign
ministry spokesman， told reporters following the meeting.
He expressed the hope that the UN would reflect in its coming report the
real situation in Darfur， including the prevalence of security， end of the
rebellion and stability.
He said Darfur is witnessing positive developments that support the
government's stance calling for withdrawal of UNAMID to leave the
administration of Darfur states to the Sudanese authorities.
In February 2015， the Sudanese government， the UN and the AU formed a joint
task group to prepare a strategy for the exit of UNAMID from Darfur.
