Blue Jackets rally over Ducks behind Scott Hartnell hat trick

Blue Jackets rally over Ducks behind Scott Hartnell hat trick
blue-jackets-rally-over-ducks-behind-scott-hartnell-hat-trick

Scott Hartnell had his eighth career three-goal http://www.nfl49ersofficialauthentic.com/Anthony-Davis-Jersey game and the Columbus Blue Jackets rebounded from a two-goal deficit to beat the Anaheim Ducks 5-3 on Tuesday night. It was the Blue Jackets' fourth win in a row. Ryan Johansen had a goal and an assist, and Nick Foligno also scored for the Blue Jackets. Sergei Bobrovsky made 36 saves -- stopping the final 18 shots after the Ducks took a 3-2 lead. Ryan Kesler, Andrew Cogliano and Matt Beleskey scored for the Ducks, who have lost the first two games of a five-game road swing. John Gibson had 20 saves. It was the first hat trick by a Blue Jackets player since Cam Atkinson had three goals at Colorado on April 5, 2012. It had been three years and one day since the last Columbus player -- R.J. Umberger -- did it at home against Carolina. The Blue Jackets had lost five of six at home and came in with one of the worst home records in the NHL at 13-20-4. Hartnell got his third goal by winning a puck battle with Sami Vatanen and then scoring on an empty-net wraparound with 37 seconds left. The Ducks controlled the puck for most of the opening period. They took a 1-0 lead 6:11 in -- with just 3 seconds left on Hartnell's roughing penalty -- when Bobrovsky blocked a redirect but the puck bounced directly to Kesler at the right doorstep. He lifted it over Bobrovsky, who was down on the ice, for his 19th. Cogliano made it 2-0 at 14:21, swooping Dan Connolly Youth Jersey down the right wing past defensemen Kevin Connauton and Cody Goloubef to tuck a rising shot inside the near post for his 13th. Columbus cut the lead in half on the power play. Johansen had drawn a tripping penalty on Anaheim's James Wisniewski, a former Blue Jacket, on a short-handed, 2-on-1 rush, with Johansen's wrist shot clanging off the post. On the ensuing power play, Johansen carried the puck into the right circle and then saucered a tape-to-tape pass to Hartnell, who was behind a defender in the crease. Hartnell, last week's No. 1 star in the NHL, picked up his 23rd of the season -- giving him nine goals and three assists in his last 12 games. The Blue Jackets then tallied three of the four goals in a wild, combative second. It took a lengthy review in Toronto, but Johansen collected his 24th goal after a long delay. Atkinson's shot was blocked by Gibson, the puck popping up in the air and then glancing off his right shoulder and toward the goal line. As he reached for it, Johansen crashed the net, winding up sitting down staring back at center ice with Gibson sprawled next to him. The officials ruled on the ice that Johansen had scored, although there was no horn, no goal light and no signal. The review was deemed inconclusive. Beleskey made it 3-2 at 10:05 with a nifty Ricardo Lockette Authentic Jersey backhander from a hard angle on the right side, but the Blue Jackets mustered two more goals. Hartnell got his second with a rising shot from the right circle after taking a pass from William Karlsson -- his first point for the Blue Jackets. Artem Anisimov then outbattled two Ducks on the back wall to pass the puck to Jeremy Morin. His pass found Foligno for a hard one-timer from the slot for his 26th of the season -- and the Blue Jackets' first lead of the game. Game notes Wisniewski, dealt to Anaheim at the trade deadline http://www.footballcowboysprostore.com/Dez-Bryant-Jersey along with a draft pick for Rene Bourque, Karlsson and a draft pick, was recognized for his 209 games with the Blue Jackets during a first-period video tribute. ... Karlsson made his Columbus debut. ... The Ducks were upset after Corey Perry was called for embellishment in conjunction with the Blue Jackets' David Savard getting penalized for roughing in the final minute of the second.
