Colts again in line to try to slow J.J. Watt

Colts again in line to try to slow J.J. Watt
colts-again-in-line-to-try-to-slow-jj-watt

Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt was a handful http://www.patriotsnflofficialonline.com/Brandon-Browner-Jersey for the Indianapolis Colts the last time the teams met. Guess what? He's still a handful, but it's not only on defense. The MVP candidate is also making an impact on offense for the Texans. Now the Colts get to try to find a way to slow him down when the two teams meet Sunday at Lucas Oil Stadium. A Colts victory will give them the AFC South title for the second straight season. "We've seen, obviously, some great ones through the years," Colts coach Chuck Pagano said. "This guy is phenomenal football player, best at his position right now. This guy has impacted the game as much as anybody, especially at his position. He's catching [touchdown] passes, lining him up in goal-line and short-yardage situations. He looks like [New England tight end Rob] Gronkowski out there running around." Watt was the main reason the Texans got back into the game Oct. 9 in their 33-28 loss to Indianapolis in Houston. He had 7 tackles, 2 sacks, 3 passes defended, 4 quarterback hits and 1 fumble recovery for a touchdown. Watt has been even better since, collecting 10.5 more sacks to Patriots Tim Wright Womens Jersey go with three touchdowns on three catches. His three touchdown receptions are more than veteran receiver Andre Johnson's two this season. Without hesitation, Pagano said he'd vote for Watt for MVP of the league because of his value to the Texans. "Just have to hope we don't do enough to get him that," the coach then said. "He's damn near unblockable; he does it all. He's a nightmare." There were two plays that perfectly showed the type of player, the type of impact Watt has on the game, in the first meeting between the teams. On first-and-goal from Houston's 3-yard line, Colts quarterback Andrew Luck faked the handoff and rolled to his right. It looked as if Luck was going to be able to turn the corner, but Watt showed off his speed, dove and tripped the quarterback up for a loss. The second came when there was a bad snap exchange between Luck, who was in the shotgun, and center Jonotthan Harrison. Watt dove on the ground for the ball, grabbed it, got up and raced in from 45 yards out for the touchdown. The Colts can give Watt all the praise they want, but they still have to figure out a way to slow him. Trying to block him single-handedly won't work. The Colts definitely will use an extra blocker on him. Going in with just one strategy won't work, either, because Texans defensive coordinator Romeo Crennel has no problem lining Watt up in different spots. He might be at defensive end one play and then be lined up as an outside linebacker on the next play. It's a chess match to try to one-up Watt. "Definitely a bunch of respect for how he http://www.footballcowboysprostore.com/Ronald-Leary-Jersey plays the game of football and what he does," Luck said. "He certainly has that ability to change a game in one play. You know where he is, but once the game gets going I don't think it's too hard to focus on what you need to focus. It could work against you if you worry too much about one player. We have a lot of respect for him. We have a lot of respect for everyone that steps on the field on them."
