Derrick Rose (ankles) back for Bulls

Derrick Rose (ankles) back for Bulls

MILWAUKEE -- Chicago Bulls point guard Derrick Rose is playing Wednesday Derrick Rose Womens Jersey night against the Milwaukee Bucks after missing the previous two games because of sprained ankles. Rose injured the ankles during the second quarter in Friday night's home opener against the Cleveland Cavaliers. He and the Bulls have taken a cautious approach to his return as the former MVP makes his way back from two knee surgeries. "He's got to play and he's done a good job getting himself ready," Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau said before Wednesday's game. "He's handled everything well. A sprained ankle is part of the game; it happens. You deal with it. He's getting his treatment, and when he's comfortable enough to go, he'll be out there. It's really that simple. I think we tend to try to read into it, and there's nothing to really read into. It is what it is." Thibodeau remains confident Rose will return to his MVP form, despite the fact that some are questioning whether Rose will ever be the same after his latest setback. As he did before Tuesday's game against the Orlando Magic, Rose warmed up on the floor as he tested his ankles. "He'll get back," Thibodeau said. "It's going to take time. You can't miss the amount of time http://www.nbashoponline.us.com/nba-jerseys/miami-heat/chris-bosh-jersey_c-725.html that he's missed and get it all back right away. I think everyone has to be patient; there's going to be some ups, they'll be some downs. Just keep putting one foot in front of another and put everything you have into each day. It will work out. As I mentioned the other day, where he is today versus where he was a month ago or two months ago, he's made up quite a bit of ground. "Now what you don't plan on is a sprained ankle, in this case there's two, and you wonder how it doesn't happen more often. So he's got to deal with that, and part of that is the physicality of playing all the time, and that's why I do feel it's important for him to be out there. But at the same time, you can't put somebody out there that's not comfortable being out there. We wouldn't do that for any of our players so that's just the way it is." Thibodeau wants Rose to continue focusing on what he can control, not on all the speculation regarding his future. "He can't get wrapped up in it," Thibodeau said. "Whether it's the MVP year and everyone praising him like there's no room for improvement, or whether it's criticism, it's all the same. You got to put that aside and you really only answer to yourself. Only you know how much you're putting into each and every day. Once you've determined that you're giving everything that you have, that's all you can do, and you should be fine with that. So whether it's praise or criticism, it really shouldn't matter. And he's strong minded; this comeback's not going to be easy, and he knows that, he understands that. So he's just got to keep grinding away. It will work out." In other injury news, Bulls center Joakim Noah is out Wednesday Cheap NBA Basketball Jerseys night because of flu-like symptoms. It is the second straight game he will miss, but he is expected to rejoin the Bulls later Wednesday in Milwaukee and travel with them to Philadelphia in advance of Friday night's game against the 76ers. Bulls swingman Jimmy Butler is playing Wednesday despite straining his right shoulder Tuesday night. Taj Gibson also is playing as he continues to work his way back from a sprained left ankle he suffered in the Cavaliers game.
