The College of Staten Island defeated CCNY 2-1 in the CUNYAC Semifinal game at the CSI Soccer Complex to earn a trip to the CUNYAC Championship game on Saturday.  The Dolphins improved to 12-5-1 with the win.

she would see her attempt go wide left. The constant waves of attacks from the Dolphins finally hit pay dirt when Victoria Sanchez flew down the right flank uncontested and hit a low hard shot to the far post for the first goal of the game.  Sanchez's goal was her fourth of the season as she has trademarked the sprints down the sideline and into the box.,Staten Island controlled the pace of the game and kept the pressure on the Beavers' defense. Natalia Sandor nearly put the Dolphins up 1-0 just three minutes in the game.  Sandor would receive the ball with her back to the goal and attempt a cheeky heel shot towards goal,Authentic Kenyan Drake Jersey, however

The Beavers who were able to draw the Dolphins 2-2 during the regular season struggled to generate any offense in the first half. City College of NY was able to fire off only one shot which forced Kaila DiBenedetto to make a save. CSI almost doubled their lead when Lauren Smith rifled a shot off of the crossbar which would fall to the foot of Sandor.  Sandor quickly struck the ball but Catherine Langkamp was in great position to make the save to keep the Dolphins from doubling up.

The defense for the Beavers would break down towards the end of the first stanza which allowed Keonjah Nugent to net her third of the season.  Nugent would receive a through ball from Daniela Zirpolo and cannon a shot over Langkamp's head and into the back of the net.  The Dolphins would post a 9-1 advantage in shots in the first half with two of them finding the back of the net.

the Dolphins' leading scorer, with a great scoring opportunity.  Sandor received a pass to the back post but once again Langkamp was in great position to make the save.  Sanchez craved a second goal in this afternoon's contest as she created chance after chance however it was Langkamp that kept coming up victorious. Langkamp continued to keep the Beavers in the game as she denied several one-one-one opportunities. Nicole Mignone,Sandor started the second half much like she did the first, had a breakaway chance stonewalled by Langkamp with 20 minutes remaining in the game.

CCNY was able to bring it within one in the 75th minute when Gabrielle Duchaussee scored her 15th goal of the season.

the Beavers pushed more players forward,Authentic Brandon Doughty Jersey, all of which were scored by CCNY. When the game fell below the five-minute mark,Duchaussee got free in the box and Agudelo found her with a threaded pass.  Duchaussee chipped it over DiBenedetto's head and off of the crossbar into the goal.  Duchaussee's goal marks just the third CUNYAC goal the Dolphins have allowed this season, in search of the game-tying goal. The Dolphins continued to play their game and didn't drop any in response to the extra attacking players.

but DiBenedetto made a game-saving save to help the Dolphins punch their ticket to the CUNYAC Championship game. ,Authentic DeVante Parker Jersey,With two minutes left on the clock, Langkamp came up to take a free kick and placed a perfect ball onto the head of Caceres.  Caceres put it towards goal

When asked how it feels to go to the championship game for the third straight year Head Coach Giuseppe Pennetti said "It's an honor and a privilege, it's not easy to make it to the championship three years in a row. The girls stuck to the game plan which enabled us to win today's game against a quality opponent."

The Dolphins will return to the field on Saturday, November 1 against No. 3 seeded Lehman College at 11:30 am at the CSI Soccer Complex.

Unhappy with their lead running back for multiple reasons, the Dolphins on Tuesday morning traded Jay Ajayi to Philadelphia for a 2018 fourth round draft pick..

leaves Miami without a clear-cut lead running back.,Womens Xavien Howard Jersey,The trade, made hours before the NFL’s 4 p.m. trade deadline

who has big-play ability because of his speed, Damien Williams and special teams player Sinorise Perry are the only running backs remaining on the roster. Drake,Womens Kenyan Drake Jersey,Kenyan Drake, is expected to get an extended look.

putting together back to back 200 yard rushing games and finishing fourth in the league in yards rushing (1272) and seventh in average (4.9).,Selected in the fifth round of the 2015 NFL draft, Ajayi was one of the NFL’s most pleasant surprises last season

and had a 1.3 average on bad blocking,Authentic Charles Harris Jersey, better than the 7.8 league average,Ajayi has an 8.1 average when he has good blocking, barely below the 1.4 league average.

He has gained all but 83 of his rushing yards after contact. His 382 rushing yards after being hit by an initial tackler are fourth-most in the league.

which led all NFL backs during that time, since the start of last season,Authentic Raekwon McMillan Jersey,he forced defenders to miss 81 tackles,What’s more, Womens DeVante Parker Jersey, according to Pro Football Focus.

272 yards and eight touchdowns in his only full season as a starter.,Womens Charles Harris Jersey,The Miami Dolphins traded running back Jay Ajayi to the Philadelphia Eagles for a fourth-round pick Tuesday, thus saying so long to a 24-year-old running back who rushed for 1

Why did Miami make this move?

two, right now,“Everyone is saying either Adam Gase is a moron for signing off on this or they’re trying to punish Ajayi for speaking out too much against the coaching staff, they’re not a contender. They’re not really going anywhere this year. They have to be thinking a year, whereas Philadelphia is in win-now mode.”,” WQAM Miami evening host Alex Donno said on CBS Sports Radio’s Ferrall on the Bench. “I think the real headline here is they don’t trust his knees. I think that’s the primary reason they traded Ajayi. I don’t think they look at Ajayi as a long-term answer. It’s obvious the Dolphins, three years down the road

Ajayi’s numbers were down across the board this year. He averaged just 3.4 yards per carry this after averaging 4.9 a season ago – and failed to score a touchdown in seven games.

There were also health concerns.

to me, his knees were a question mark coming out of Boise State,” Donno said. “There were some teams that took him off their draft board completely because he doesn’t have enough cartilage in his knees. It’s why he fell all the way to the fifth round when he’s clearly more talented than that. I think the primary reason they shipped Ajayi out of town was because they don’t think he has maybe more than a year, is the primary issue here.”,“If you look at Ajayi, year-and-a-half left in those knees. They have to sit the guy out of practice one day every week. They have to have him on a maintenance program at 24 years old because his knees aren’t really healthy enough to go through that weekly grind. That

But not the only issue.

Adam Gase has a very strong personality – there was probably some discord behind the scenes. I think that was a factor as well. I thought they could have gotten better than a fourth-round pick for him,” Donno said. “I think that takes a backseat to the knee issues, but Adam Gase (said last week that Ajayi) needs to stop trying to hit home runs and (instead take) the four or five yards (that are available). So I think he had a problem with the way Ajayi was approaching some of his carries. We know Ajayi has a very strong personality,“I do think they had some issues with his attitude, but that probably shows you how desperate they were to ship him away.”

host the Raiders (3-5) on Sunday Night Football. Kickoff is at 8:30 p.m. ET.,The Dolphins (4-3), who are coming off a 40-0 loss in Baltimore

impractical, short-sighted, lopsided,Only a few things stop me from calling the Jay Ajayi trade to Philadelphia for a mere fourth-round pick the most idiotic, inexplicable and utterly hare-brained trade in recent Dolphins history.

It’s that Dolphins coach Adam Gase pulled similar surprises last season. And they worked.

It’s that New England coach Bill Belichick makes similar moves every year. And they work.

Ronald Darby, Buffalo, has cleared its locker room of good talent that didn’t fit with a developing culture — Sammy Watkins,It’s that the surprise team this season, Marcell Dareus. It looked crazy from the outside. But it’s working.

Gase stood before the cameras Friday after a 40-0 loss to Baltimore — the latest in a season of offensive embarrassments — and said the effort and homework wasn’t there and how, “It starts with our best players.”

well, you better do something to set your locker-room culture right. Bench a player. Change a starting job. Or,When you call out a team like that, trade one of your best players. Which is what the Dolphins did.

Miami Dolphins trade Jay Ajayi to Philadelphia Eagles for 4th-round pick

this lessens the Dolphins’ talent. They don’t have any proven running back to carry the load on the roster. You can say running backs are interchangeable, make no mistake,And, which they are to some extent. You still need a good one.

Damien Williams? Kenyan Drake? Senorise Perry? Anyone done much? Maybe they rise up in the manner Ajayi did from nowhere a year ago. If not, Gase’s gamble fails and this season fails with it.

But remember: Last October, Ajayi was a do-nothing back when he entered Gase’s office amid a 1-4 start and listed three running plays that he guaranteed results from if the coach called them.

Ajayi had been suspended by Gase for immaturity ahead of last year’s opener after not being name the starter. He had a minor role to that point. But Gase called those plays. Results came immediately.

Ajayi went from being a problem child inside the team to becoming the face of the franchise. He was the Dolphins’ identity. He averaged 4.9 yards a carry in 2016. He ran for more yards after contact than any NFL back, according to Pro Football Focus.

The Dolphins finished seventh in the league at 4.5 yards a carry last year in good part because of Ajayi. Now they’re 31st at 3.2 yards a carry this season. Now they don’t have a rushing touchdown.
